The industrial rock gods are back! After (Nine Inch Nails) last concert in 2009 and rumors of the bands breakup, a new album has surfaced and ready to be released on 3 September 2013. It will be the bands eighth studio album in five years, and brings new concepts and production style from lead singer Trent Reznor. After the bands reported breakup in 2009, Reznor has been working various projects from collaborating with the band (How To Destroy Angels), and producing the original score for "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, " and "The Social Network. "
Trent Reznor received an Academy award and a Grammy for his collaboration on the scores for both films. On the bands official website Trent Reznor mentioned earlier this year; "I’ve been less than honest about what I’ve really been up to lately. For the last year I’ve been secretly working non-stop with Atticus Ross and Alan Moulder on a new, full-length Nine Inch Nails record, which I am happy to say is finished and frankly f--king great. This is the real impetus and motivation behind the decision to assemble a new band and tour again." This album will be the first release from Columbia records and will take the band to new heights and marks a new beginning with their record label. Columbia records has also landed a record deal with Daft Punk which released their album earlier this year "Random Access Memories," and is acclaimed a one of the best albums of the year. The design for NIN new release will contain artwork from artist Rusell Mills who has previously work on "The Downward Spiral," and other video and singles release.
The band is currently on tour and has given a few exceptional live performances to include Fuji Rock Festival and Lollapalooza earlier this year.
Both Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross has produced “Hesitation Marks”. Their new album will consist of 14 tracks, and the promotional singles released so far include: "Came Back Haunted," "Everything," and "Copy of A."
